Elon Musk announced: Three new Tesla models are coming
With strong support from shareholders, Elon Musk announced that three new models are under development. In a slide shared at the meeting, three new models were seen covered next to the existing vehicle lineup. However, little information has been disclosed about these vehicles. Musk said, “I think these new products will be really special,” which piqued our curiosity even more.
The first of these new models will be a “Tesla Cybercab” robotaxi. This model will be introduced on August 8 and will be built on a new generation platform. The robotaxi will showcase how advanced Tesla’s autonomous driving technology has become. It is also said that this new Tesla model could revolutionize urban transportation.
Although there are no clear details about the other two models, based on Musk’s previous statements, these vehicles will use a mix of existing platforms and new-generation platforms. This will allow for more efficient use of production lines and reduced costs. Additionally, these models are expected to be more affordable. This aligns with speculations that Tesla is developing technically simpler and competitively priced models based on the Model 3 and Model Y.
Of course, the highly anticipated new Roadster model is still on the agenda. Musk promised this model would be released at the end of 2024, but this date has been repeatedly postponed. With the introduction of the robotaxi, we hope to learn more about the other new models.
